Using a mix of generative and evaluative methods we held interviews, sent out surveys and ran unmoderated usability tests. We also used Speak AI to reduce cost and rapidly evaluate qual feedback.

Lacking support for tools (Storybook, Chromatic, Toolchain integration) and with teams that were new to Figma, we used plug-ins to generate rapid and consistent specs.

Squad onboarding
I initiated and created a custom design system onboarding experience for each of the design and UX stakeholder groups, tailoring it to each cross-functional role. 
The need was evident with teams who didn't have a way to understand how UX fits into the delivery pipeline.
Feedback was positive from designers, developers, QA and product.

I used separate Figma pages for each role type and created self-serve assets for Designers, Developers and Product Owners inviting them via Figma URLs with a dev-mode version of the UI library for the engineers.
